There are some (probably not very reliable) rumours on Splash News that Scarlett Johansson will star in the upcoming Broadway revival of Promises, Promises. In the article, the show is described as being “like Mad Men with a pop vocal score”. Interesting comparison, no?

I suppose it would be Mad Men ish – if Mad Men was penned by Neil Simon. In other words, era and setting aside, I dont’ see a lot of stylistic similarities.
Scarlett would be, IMHO, a more interesting choice than Anne, but has many of the same probs. I liked the idea of Zooey Deschanel better if we’re going for a celeb. Interestingly both Scarlett and Zooey had pop albums in the past year which teamed them with a more established musician and, for the record, Zooey’s was far better – and got far better press anyway.
